Rebecca Lillich Krüger is a performance artist based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Born in Bad Soden, Germany and raised in Syracuse, New York, she received her BFA from the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Program with a Minor in Writing and her MFA in Dance from Hollins University exchanging with the Hochschule für Kunst in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
In 2021 she co-founded Stichting Triplets at Broedplaats Bouw, a performance development space aiming to enrich the performance culture of Amsterdam.
Her work is invested in the power of transformation through theatricality and the body, with an emphasis on text work, high physicality and aesthetic surrealism.
As a performer she has worked for Antonio Guzman/Iva Jankovic, Fernando Oliveira/ANT Physical Theater, Sedrig Verwoert, Luna Ananda, Erika Tsimbrovsky/AVY K Productions, and Jort Faber to name a selection.
Her work Voyage has been shown at Come Together (9) at Frascati and spit + scotch tape as part of Open Rehearsal at If I Can’t Dance, I Don’t Want To Be Part of Your Revolution; she has been supported by the Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst.
Her ongoing collaboration with partner Ahmad Mallah premiered with The Ladder at Prospects/Art Rotterdam 2024; since then it has been shown at Van Gogh Museum, Oerol Festival, Down the Rabbit Hole Festival curated by Arnhem Museum and Schunck Museum.
In Amsterdam she is represented by The Movers casting.
Aiming to meld her technical and artistic background with socio-political awareness, through many doubts she seeks to engage with work that dismantles singular paradigms in performance and invests in practices and communities that keep the heart beating.
