stichting triplets

Stichting Triplets proposes to be a space for the development of performance works by Jort Faber and Rebecca Lillich // Krüger and other independent artists, a community space for the enrichment of Amsterdam’s freelance performance scene and an advocate for social activism. The three intentions are at the core of our organisation and intersect.

Started in 2021 and founded as a Stichting in 2022 by Jort Faber, Karolina Krynicka and Rebecca Lillich//Krüger, Triplets represents three babies early in their paths and an insistent, consistent rhythm of intention and purpose. Operated by Jort Faber and Rebecca Lillich//Krüger, Triplets is a casual, intimate and welcoming space that hopes to make performance more possible in Amsterdam.

Temporary Triplets: Triplets offers a monthly rental program for artists seeking a temporary home for their creations; the Temporary Triplet program has aided many artists in Amsterdam looking to invest in their art-making. We offer support and advice with creative processes as well as applying and writing for funds. Temporary Triplets are invited to host sessions or workshops as part of their developing processes. Temporary Triplets have included Rupert Krüger, Emma Evelien, Virgil Spier, Veronika Kolomazníková, Lana van der Brug, Roberta Maimone, Roberta Riontino, Paola Ancona, Facundo Ebenegger, Marta Bianchi, and Polina Fenko to name a selection.

Tax Sessions: Triplets has held quarterly tax sessions for artists new to the Dutch system; we gather together in order to ask questions, learn how to use e-Boekhouden and support one another in creating a sustainable financial life.

Open Sessions + Gatherings: Triplets frequently hosts research development sessions for artists interested in garnering experience through free-exchange. We have hosted sessions by Candela Murillo, Kim Baraka, Fernanda González Morales, Enfants with Alice Godfrey, Instant Composition with Polina Fenko, Grappling Monkey Nimble Tree with Virgil Spier, Ilya Padzina, Rupert Krüger and MaryKate Glenn.

Alongside dance-oreinted events, Triplets occasionally hosts Gatherings with live music, often to gather funds for a good cause or celebrate an occasion. Past events include Gathering for Afghanistan with activist Seweta Zirak, Gathering for Ukraine and Take A Trip: Sessions by Katharina Spitz, Polina Fenko and Pepper the Robot in collaboration with the VU.

Hourly Rentals: Triplets offers hourly rentals to performing artists of many disciplines in Amsterdam. Rental hours are booked ahead of time with hours being collected and calculated at the end of the month.

Performance Productions: Triplets has supported the development of many performances, including Jort Faber’s De val van Hercules + Please Answer When it Rings, Rebecca Lillich//Krüger’s VOYAGE, …(holy, holey, wholly) and The Heart Has Many Stings, Veronika Kolomazníková and Aryan Jarugei’s Scattered Complexity, ON/OFF Balance by Facuendo Ebenegger and Marta Bianchi, Roberta Maimone and Roberta RIontino’s Enfants, Sofia Garcia Miramon’s La Pacha and Lana van der Brug’s I, Doll to name a selection.
