Antonio Guzman and Iva Jankovic’s collaboration has shifted in many forms, utilizing performance and processions within their textile installations tracing the invisibilized histories of the Indigo trade and craft. The performances, including body mapping through levels, shape, dub loops and dynamics schemas, how taken different forms in different spaces. Influenced by Yoruban Dance, The NYC Theatre company “The Living Theatre” and Iván Nogales theory of Body Decolonisation (La Descolonización del Cuerpo), Guzman and Jankovic’s work creates a new horizon of decolonisation through ritual histories.
